When browsing the internet for inspiration, having an organized and clear view of what inspires us can jump-start creativity!
Have a place in your home for online interviews and meetings, even if it is a corner of your bedroom. Make sure the background is not cluttered or use the background blur feature if available on your meeting platform. Do not use a virtual background, especially if you do not have a green screen. You will look like you are floating, or part of your head is cut off. Look professional but also show your personality.
When you're interviewing for a job, it's important not to wear anything too busy. Your outfit should not compete for their attention from what you are saying.
Make sure what you are wearing is pressed and fits the professional tone of the organization.
The appropriate clothes for a job will depend on the company's culture. An organization may have a relaxed dress code but dress professionally unless specifically told differently for the interview.
If you're looking for a wardrobe essential, look no further than your button-downs. You need to have at least three good ones in various fabrics and styles.
If you're also going back and doing a lot of in-person interviews, make sure you have a blazer that fits, a good black one, or a navy one that you can mix and match with different pants or skirts.
Make sure your shoes are clean and don't have scuff marks all over them.
